Privacy Policy

This page explains, in plain English, what information we keep when you use nooneiscoming.us and the No One Is Coming app, and what we don't. "We" means the publisher of No One Is Coming. Short version: the app keeps your stuff on your phone, and the website keeps only what it needs to sell you the book, run your account and run the board.
What we never do
- No ad tracking unless you allow it. The app has no advertising or tracking code. The website loads one ad-measurement tool, the Meta pixel, only if you click Allow on our cookie banner, and only on our marketing and checkout pages. It's never loaded on Atas Dispatch, our community board. We don't build profiles. Our cookieless website analytics are explained under Analytics and cookies below.
- We never sell our users' information. If you allow ad cookies, the Meta pixel sends Meta the information described below. If you decline, nothing goes to Meta.
- IP addresses: to block abuse, we briefly turn your connection's IP address into a salted, one-way code, use it only to count attempts, and delete it within about 25 hours; we never keep IP addresses themselves.
Analytics and cookies
- Website analytics (no cookies): to see how people use the website, so we can make it clearer, we use two analytics tools on our public pages. Neither one sets cookies or saves anything on your device. Cloudflare Web Analytics, from our hosting provider, counts visits and shows which pages are viewed, which site sent you here, and your browser, device type and country. PostHog, set to its cookieless mode, records the pages you view, how long you stay, the links and buttons you click (with any text you type hidden), and the steps from the home page to the sample chapters, prices and checkout. When an order goes through, our server tells PostHog only which product was bought (for example, Vol. 1), with no name, email, address or order details. To tell one visit from another without cookies, PostHog uses a one-way code made from your IP address and browser details that changes every day, so it can't follow you from one day to the next. We never send either tool your name, email, address or order details, and we never sell this information. We see only totals and patterns, never who you are. These tools never run on your account pages, the online reader, the board, the admin pages or the order confirmation page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we don't load PostHog. The app has no tracking code at all.
- Cookies: sign-in cookies for your account and the board, set after you sign in. The Meta pixel cookie is set only if you allow it. Our analytics set no cookies.
- Security check (Cloudflare Turnstile): our sign-in, signup, checkout and board forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. When you load one of those forms, Cloudflare checks your browser to tell people from bots. It may read technical signals such as your IP address and browser details to do that. Cloudflare says it does not use this information for advertising. We receive only a pass or fail result. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
- Meta pixel (website only, off unless you allow it): We use the Meta pixel only to measure how our ads perform. We never give Meta your name, email or address, and we never sell our users' information. If you allow it, each time you visit a marketing or checkout page on nooneiscoming.us (never Atas Dispatch or the board) it sets a cookie and sends Meta the pages you view, actions such as starting checkout or buying, your browser and device details, and your IP address. Meta may connect this to your Facebook or Instagram account and uses it under Meta's own privacy policy, including for ads. We see only totals in our ad reports, never who you are. The app does not use the pixel. You can change your choice any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
- Hosting logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) handles every request to the site and may keep short-lived technical logs to keep the service running and secure. We don't add them to your account.
The app: what stays on your phone
These stay on your phone and are never sent to us:
- Your location. It's used only on your phone, only while the app is open, and it is never sent to us or anyone else. (For warnings, the app sends only your two-letter state or province code; see Region below.)
- Your notes, checkmarks and progress
- Your alarms and reminders
- Your checklists and shopping lists
What the app sends: to unlock, the app sends only your unlock code to our server. After that, it sends only a device token to confirm your purchase and enforce the 2-device limit. We store a random device ID, the code it belongs to, an optional device name you type, and the date it was unlocked or released.
What else the app sends, only when you use it: If you ask Radar a question while online, the app sends your question and the matching book passages to our server, which sends them to our Radar answer provider (a service provider working for us) to write the answer. If the book doesn't cover your question, that provider may also search the web for it. If you picked your state or province in the app, it goes with the question so the answer fits where you live. We don't save your question; we log only the time and its length. Radar questions asked offline never leave your phone. If you post on Atas Dispatch in the app, your username and posts are handled as described under The community board. For warnings, the app sends only your two-letter state or province code. Maps: when you open the map or download a state map, the app gets map data for the area on screen from our map server. It never sends your GPS position.
Thumbs up and thumbs down
Radar answers and our web pages have a thumbs up and thumbs down. If you tap one, we save the rating, the page, the date, and anything you type in "How can we make this better?" For Radar, we also save your question and the start of the answer so we can fix it. We don't save your name, email or IP address with it. A thumbs-down sends a copy to our own mailbox so we see it right away. From the app, feedback you give offline waits on your phone and is sent the next time you have a signal.
Buying the book (checkout)
- Payment is handled by Stripe. You pay on Stripe's checkout page. We never see or store your card number.
- What we receive from checkout: your email address, your name, your shipping address (for the books), what you bought, the amount, and the order date. We use these to deliver your book and unlock code, answer support requests and keep required tax and business records.
- Printing and shipping: your name and shipping address go to Lulu, our printer and shipper, so they can print and mail your paperback. For paperback orders, checkout asks for a phone number because our printer, Lulu, requires one to ship. We pass it to Lulu and don't keep it.
- Email: we send your order confirmation and unlock code by email. We keep a record of each email we send (the address, subject and delivery status) so we can fix delivery problems.
- Region: Apart from the shipping address on a paperback order, which we keep so we can print, ship and support it, we don't store your state, province or ZIP code with your account or membership. Every thread on the board's Regional section must carry a state tag: you pick the state when you start the thread, it's saved with that thread, and other members see it. Your region pick in the app is saved only on your phone; for warnings, the app sends just the two-letter state or province code, which we pass to the public alert services and don't save.
- Unlock codes: we store only a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your code. The code itself is only in your email and your book.
Reading the book online
- Who can read online: paperback buyers, for good, with or without a plan. We check your account or unlock code and your order before showing any page. If you bought the app without a book, the book in the app is available only while your access is active.
- Hourly limits: to stop bulk copying, we count how many sections and pictures you open each hour. Each count is kept under a one-way code for your account or an internal number for your unlock code, never your name, email or IP address, and every count is deleted within about 25 hours.
- Page stamp: each page shows a faint stamp with your order number and the date, never your name or email.
- What we don't keep: we don't keep a record of which pages you read.
Atas Dispatch (optional membership)
- Membership records: your email, your Dispatch status and the date your access ends. If you have a plan that renews, we also keep its Stripe customer and plan IDs, its status and its next renewal date. Stripe keeps your card for renewals; we never see or store your card number. If your included year or plan ends, we keep your account so you can sign in and renew; ask us anytime to delete it.
- Newsletter: as a member, you get the monthly newsletter at your purchase email. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
Email signup
If you sign up for email from us (for example, a free checklist or launch news), we keep your email address, what you signed up for, and any name or phone number you give us. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in every email.
Checklist signups. If you ask for our free Bug-Out Bag checklist, we keep your email address, when you signed up and confirmed, and where the signup came from (for example, a social post keyword), so we can send the checklist and occasional emails. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Signups never confirmed are deleted after 30 days.
Free PDF gift links. If you claim free PDFs through a gift link, we keep your first and last name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, and which link you used and when, so we can send your PDFs and add you to our email list for news and offers. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
The community board
- 18 or older only. Signup asks you to confirm you're 18 or older. We don't ask for ID.
- Your username: you pick a username before you post. It's what other members see, with your profile picture. A moderator reviews every new or changed picture before others see it; until then they see the first letter of your username.
- What we keep: your sign-in email, your handle, the phone and real name you choose to enter (if any), your profile pictures, your posts, any rooms you start, the state tag on any Regional thread you start, and the reports, blocks, strikes and contact requests tied to your account.
- How long posts stay: You can access your posts and chats for up to one year.
- Who sees what: posts are visible to signed-in members under your handle. Your email, phone and real name are shown only if you turn on sharing for each one, and only to signed-in members. There are no private messages. If you accept a contact request, the email you choose to share is shown only to that one member.
- Moderation: the text of each post (not your email or handle) is checked by an automated moderation service that works for us as a service provider, to enforce the board rules.
How we stop abuse
To slow down people guessing unlock codes or spamming sign-ins, we count failed attempts per connection. We briefly turn your connection's IP address into a salted, one-way code and use it only to count attempts. The salt changes every day, the code can't be turned back into an address, and every counter is deleted within about 25 hours.
Service providers
We use a few companies to run the store and the site: a payment processor (Stripe), Lulu to print and ship paperbacks, an email delivery provider, a hosting and database provider (Cloudflare, which also runs the Turnstile security check on our forms and our cookieless Web Analytics), a website analytics provider (PostHog, in cookieless mode), and an automated moderation provider for the board. They handle information only to provide those services to us.
Your choices: see, correct or delete
Email [email protected] from your purchase email and tell us what you want: a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion. We'll reply within 30 days. We delete your account, device list, board profile and membership records. We keep order records only as long as tax and business law requires. To remove the app's data from your phone, delete the app; that data was never sent to us.
Where we operate
Paperbacks ship to US addresses only. The app's region packs and warnings cover the US and Canada. Your information is stored and processed in the United States.
Children
The board and accounts are for people 18 or older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
