No One Is Coming

Affiliate Disclosure

The short version: some links on this site, in our articles, on gear cards and in our newsletters may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission. Some links are referral links instead: if you sign up for a service through one, we may earn a referral credit. Either way, it costs you nothing extra.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a link to a store or a maker that tells them you came from us. If you buy something, they may pay us a small share of the sale. The price you pay is the same as if you'd gone there directly.

How we pick what we recommend

We recommend gear because it's useful: it works, it holds up, it's a fair price for what it does, and it fits the methods in the book. That's the whole test. Whether a product pays a commission doesn't decide whether it gets recommended, where it shows up, or what we say about it. When something cheaper or homemade does the job, we'll tell you that, even though nobody pays us for it.

Nobody pays us to be listed, and no company reviews or approves what we write before it's published. If a company ever gives us a product for free or pays us for anything, we'll say so right next to it.

What we never promote

We never promote or link to weapons, firearms, ammunition, or weapon accessories, affiliate or not. The book covers only legal ownership, training, safe storage and de-escalation, and that's as far as it goes.

How you'll know

  • Any page, article, gear card or newsletter with affiliate links carries this short note before the first link: "We may earn a commission if you buy through these links, at no extra cost to you."
  • Referral links carry this note: "We may earn a referral credit."
  • The note sits near the links, where you'll see it before you click, not hidden at the bottom of a page.
  • This page explains the details, and it's linked from the footer of every page.

Our own products

The book, the app and Atas Dispatch are our own products. When we mention them, we're selling our own work, not earning a commission.

Privacy

When you click an affiliate link, you leave our site, and the store may use its own cookies to credit the sale. That's governed by their privacy policy, not ours. We don't add tracking of our own (see the Privacy Policy).

Our affiliate and referral programs

Creators who promote No One Is Coming with an approved code are covered by the Affiliate Agreement. Ordinary friend-to-friend codes are covered by the Referral Terms.
